Cali Estate Sales began with our passion of visiting estate sales in search of rare items. An easy way to get our attention is with handmade art or anything mid-century modern. So we naturally fell into the estate sale business where we love being part of passing along gently use items to create new memories and helping to preserve history.
We chose the name Cali Estate Sales not only because we provide estate sale and liquidation services in California but also after our faithful and loving dog, Cali. She is not allowed to attend sales however she is a constant reminder of how important family is!

We begin with a free in home consultation to discuss your needs in detail. Prior to the consultation decide which items you will be keeping. Please do not throw away or donate items as everything has value. We will organize the merchandise for you so please just leave everything as is and we will handle the rest. We do not sell medications, alcohol, illegal items and hazardous material. We will propose our strategy for an optimal outcome and our commission rate is based on items for sale, preparation and labor.
We organize, accurately price and showcase the items to create an enjoyable shopping experience for the buyers to ensure high returns. You will not have any out of pocket fees. We cover marketing costs including: professionally photographing the items, listing on estatesales.net, our website, social media, local newspaper and emailing our data base. We are bonded and insured so you can relax knowing we will handle everything for the sale.
During the multi-day estate sale we provide a professional and friendly staff to enhance the buyer’s experience. Our trusted staff will treat your items as if they were their own and any items of high value will be locked up for safety. We handle all sales transactions, cover all credit card fees and collect and pay sales tax. We kindly ask that the homeowners and family members not be present during the sale and preparation. Once the sale is complete, all remaining items will be cleared out and the space left clean and ready for it's next chapter. Commission checks are paid within 8 days of the completion of the sale.

For security reason purses and bags are not allowed at the sale however wallets and small clutches are.
Cash and Venmo are accepted.
Yes, sales tax is collected unless you have a valid resale license.
Yes, there is typically a discount structure with prices lowering as the sale progresses.
We do not discuss pricing or sell items prior to the start of the sale. Any exceptions to this will be noted in the sale details.
